"Many people go and use substances of one kind or another but I am here to say that this is not a prerequisite, not at all, and the debate, I offer, is open, as to the necessity of enhancement use, because, for instance: why go so far and have so many stimuli around you, so many things made and built, so many brilliant ideas standing there in the flat plain plane, only to bend your senses to warp and muddy things further?  If everyday reality requires sometimes for many some enhancement via this or that substance, then wouldn't this desert festival, searing in its intelligence, soaring in its beauty - daytime a dry flat desert make-do community at the end of the world; nighttime a bent, Lewis Carrollian, self-illuminated settlement of artist-engineers under stars and on the top of the moon, itself a 24-a-day natural hallucination - be enough without chemical enhancement?  Again, just an idea, just a notion, and a go-to nod to those who have stayed away."
